School Completion

Christmas Art 2011

Xmas Cards

For the third year, 6th class children attending St Patrick’s, Mercy and Presentation Primary Schools have participated in designing a pack of Christmas cards for sale in school and the wider community, with the help of School Completion Project Tuam.

This year the theme was Tuam. Students were divided into groups of 4 or 5 to work on a joint design so that each child’s contribution was included in the pack. Artist, Joanne Smyth, facilitated a  card design workshop with each class. They were then given extra time to complete their cards in class.

As you can see, the boys from St Patrick’s Primary School came up with some excellent designs depicting familiar Tuam places and landmarks.

The pack of cards was launched in Tuam Library and sold out in record time. Well done boys!!

Santa’s Visit Christmas 2011

Santa came to our school today. We were all very excited to see him. We got a shock when we saw him looking in our classroom window. He gave us sweets and told us to be good and we might get what we want for Christmas.
